Clark Junior High School is dedicated to making the transition years a productive time in student life. Emphasis is placed upon responsible decision making with a look to the future. Music, choir, art, speech, and drama present fine arts opportunities, while enrichment classes in algebra, English, computer science, and Spanish begin to pave the way for college. Students learn aspects of both competition and group cooperation through UIL academic contests, organized sports, and band.

An active Parents-Teachers In Action group helps enrich the school program with speakers, demonstrations, and volunteer service, as well as instructional support through tutoring and book fairs. Through its fund-raising each year, the PTIA helps the school purchase needed equipment or supplies.

The school as a whole is dedicated to high student performance, acceptable social interaction, and the making of memories. All these are important for the kind of solid foundation needed for success in high school and later in the workplace.
